Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a compound that helps generate energy in your cells.
An antioxidant that your body produces naturally. Your cells use CoQ10 for growth and maintenance.
Levels of CoQ10 in your body decrease as you age. CoQ10 levels have also been found to be lower in people with certain conditions, such as heart disease, and in those who take cholesterol-lowering drugs called statins.
Ubiquinone and Ubidecarenone are different names for the same substance— CoQ10.
Ubiquinone is a generic name.
Ubidecarenone is the official name in the United States Pharmacopeia (USP)
The primary difference between ubiquinol and ubiquinone is that ubiquinol is the reduced form of CoQ10, whereas ubiquinone is the oxidized form.
That means that ubiquinone has more electrons than ubiquinol.
Regardless of what form of CoQ10 you take as a supplement, the body is able to convert between the 2 forms as per your body’s needs.
Ubiquinone has been in the market longer and is the form of CoQ10 on which most clinical studies have been carried out. Plus, ubiquinone is more stable in the stomach upon consumption.
1.Improves energy production – Help to fuel cell growth and maintenance
2.Antioxidant properties help to protect cells from oxidization.
3.Improves heart health – improving heart function, increasing ATP production and limiting oxidative damage.
4.Helps with fertility – The antioxidant properties of CoQ10 could help improve sperm quality and reduce the decline in the number and quality of eggs in women.
5.Reduce headaches – help prevent and treat migraines, as it increases mitochondrial function and reduces inflammation.
6.Protection – Restore Q10 levels helps to reduce muscle pain and fatigue due to statin consumption.
7.Cholesterol Prevention – Prevents against LDL- Cholesterol (bad cholesterol) oxidization.
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin with several forms, but alpha-tocopherol is the only one used by the human body. Its main role is to act as an antioxidant, scavenging loose electrons—so-called “free radicals”—that can damage cells.
It also enhances immune function and prevents clots from forming in heart arteries.
1.Reduce markers of oxidative stress and improve antioxidant defenses.
2.Protect cells from free radical damage as well as reduce the production of free radicals
3.Reduce heart disease risk factors
Vitamin E combined with CoQ10 significantly enhanced both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant protection. These effects may in turn help protect against vascular diseases.
CoQ10 with vitamin E has been shown to decrease atherosclerosis and inflammation, both of which are precursors to heart disease.
1.Supports cardiovascular health
2.DNA protection
3.Supports cellular energy production
4.Increase fertility in both men and women
5.Essential for those taking statin drugs
6.Increase healthy HDL levels
